Securenok at Arendalsuka: The AI agents are coming – is Norwegian industry ready?

Back to News & Events

By Tonje Rønneberg Skei, CEO of Securenok

‍

Artificial intelligence is no longer just a topic for IT departments or technology companies. Development is now moving rapidly into industry, energy, critical infrastructure and societal preparedness.

AI agents are becoming a reality.

They can analyze data, carry out tasks, suggest measures and eventually make their own decisions. For many organizations, this represents enormous opportunities for greater efficiency, better use of resources and faster innovation.

But this development also brings new questions:

How do we ensure control when AI gains access to critical systems?
How do we build preparedness in the face of new digital threats?
And how do we make sure technological development happens responsibly?

These are questions we believe must be raised higher in the Norwegian AI debate.

Because in industry, this is not just about technology. It is about operational reliability, value chains, critical services and, ultimately, national preparedness.

Through our work with OT security in energy, water and wastewater, the food industry and other critical infrastructure, we see how important it is to understand the interplay between innovation and control.

AI will undoubtedly be part of the industry of the future.

The question is not whether it will happen, but how we make sure it happens safely.

That is why Securenok is taking part in Arendalsuka.

Together with Atea, Thommessen, Flexpartner, Stavanger AI Lab, the University of Stavanger and the Stavanger Region Business Association, we invite you to the session:

The AI agents are coming: Security and preparedness

‍

📍 Rygerelektra, Langbrygga
📅 Monday 10 August
🕑 14:00–14:45

‍

Here we want to contribute concrete perspectives from industry and highlight how AI affects security, accountability and preparedness in practice.

This is an important conversation for leaders, technologists and decision-makers who want to understand what AI actually means for the organizations of the future.

‍

We hope to see you there.
